Drill Collar is the standard ingredient in the BHA which offers weight on the bit for drilling and
keeps the drill string in pressure.
Our Drill Collar is manufactured from AISI 4145H modified quenched and tempered steel and is heat treated alongside its total duration for uniform toughness and durability.
Rigid metallurgical assessments are executed for every specs to make sure that the heat treatment produces constant and optimum hardness by way of the depth of the bar.
Attributes and CZPT efits
A hardness variety of 285 to 341 BHN and a Charpy affect benefit of 40 ft-lbs are assured for evenly dispersed 16 points in any cross sections at space temperature
Connections are phosphate coated soon after machining to shield the threads from corrosive aspects and to stop galling on first make-up
Thread roots are cold rolled on API and H-90 connections
Pressed metal thread protectors are provided for all drill collar that are geared up with standard connections
